Frequently Asked Questions

Questions?
Q: What are your fees?
A: NWCC has a standard fee, but is also proud to offer a "sliding fee scale" that may reduce your fee (depending upon your annual household income). Please call for more information on fees.
Q: What are your hours?
A: NWCC offers appointments Monday through Saturday. Morning, afternoon, and evening appointments are available (but vary by counselor).
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: No; fees must be paid by the client, not the insurance company. However, many clients with "out-of-network" coverage are able to pay for their fees, then file for reimbursement from their insurance company (please refer to your insurance plan for details). We are happy to provide you with any receipts that are required by your insurance company to file for reimbursement. NWCC recommends that you contact your insurance company and ask if they provide "out of network" coverage for counseling services.
Q: How long will it take to get scheduled? And how often will I need to come?
A: The more flexible you can be, the easier it will be to get an appointment quickly. Most people want late-afternoon and/or early evening appointments, so the demand for these appointments is high. Frequency of counseling will need to be determined by you and your counselor. On average, most clients schedule appointments 2-4 times per month. Many clients come more frequently when starting counseling, then less frequently as they begin to see positive changes and results.
Q: What if I am not a Christian?
A: Everyone is welcome at NWCC! You will always be treated with care and respect, regardless of your spiritual beliefs. While all of our counseling is aligned with Christian and Biblical teaching, you do not need to be a Christian to receive and benefit from services at NWCC.
Q: How do I set up an appointment?
A: All counseling is done by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call NWCC at (623) 680-8172. You will need to give some general information regarding the issues and your goals for counseling, and if NWCC is a good fit for your counseling needs we can schedule your first appointment. NWCC recommends that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your first session to complete the required paperwork. If you prefer, you can print and complete the paperwork at home by visiting the "Prepare for your First Visit" button on the home page.
